Terms & Conditions

These are the terms and conditions that apply to each student (the “Student”) attending classes/courses taught by us unless we confirm otherwise in writing. In these terms and conditions, references to “we” and/or “us” are references to Classical Pilates Limited and the teaching team. Our priority is keeping you safe so that you, and all students at Classical Pilates UK, get the best possible workout in a supportive yet fun environment.

There are a few housekeeping practices which are required before, during and after your session.

A health questionnaire and informed consent form requires to be completed before your first lesson. There is a link within the booking system to complete the form.

There are stairs up to the studio and if you have any questions on accessing our services or whether Classical Pilates is suitable for you, please contact us to book a short introductory meeting or call.

Cleanliness of the studio is important.  We ask that outdoor shoes are removed in the reception area and if you require shoes due to any health condition, please chat to the team first.  Barefoot is permitted however socks are preferred.

The apparatus is covered by quality vinyl which may be susceptible to marking by tanning products, body lotions and oils and any product that may transfer. In addition, zips on clothing are not permitted, jewellery and some watches should be left at home as they may damage the apparatus, interfere with your workout or be damaged.  Longer hair should be tied up and back. While attending a lesson at Classical Pilates UK, we accept no responsibility for any personal possessions damaged, lost or stolen.  Please keep all these items for going out rather than working out.

Joseph Pilates asked that his students have swimwear to workout. We prefer not swimwear however no-zip leggings, shorts and t-shirts are great. They don’t need to be matching or “Insta” ready…we’re not a posing Pilates studio. At the end of each lesson the student cleans the equipment they have been using and leaves the apparatus ready for the next lesson.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their general level of fitness and health is adequate to engage in a course of physical exercise We will be happy to discuss the nature and requirements of any course offered by us, but you should consult with your doctor or other medical professional if you have any doubts about the suitability of a course for you. You hereby indemnify and will hold us harmless from any injury or loss sustained by you because of your failure to take these precautionary measures, provided always that nothing shall exclude or limit our liability to you in respect of any injury occasioned by our negligence or other breach of duty.
